Overview
I was an intern in the Audit department for 6 weeks. Following an induction/training week, we started work on clients and over the 6 weeks joined a number of different audit teams, working on different clients. Each day the work was different and covered almost every aspect of the audit process!
Skills
Communication skills are key within a team and I learned to reach out and ask for help when I needed it.
Responsibilities
We were doing real client work from the first week and with that comes a responsibility! Although all work is reviewed by managers as part of the audit process, we were important parts of the teams.
Support & Guidance
Everyone was so helpful and genuinely keen to help/guide you. I learned very quickly to reach out and ask for help and that was never an issue.
Culture
Very kind and supportive, however, that was limited by the fact that most of the work I was doing was online. Not being in person for much of the 6 weeks was sometimes difficult.
Your Impressions
I loved the 6 weeks. The only aspect I didn't enjoy was the heavily online nature of my teams and work
Yes
Ask in the interview process about the WORKABLE initiative and if that means your work will be mainly online
