Overview
collating, checking and analysing spreadsheet data examining company accounts and financial control systems gauging levels of financial risk within organisations checking that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable ensuring that assets are protected identifying if and where processes are not working as they should and advising on changes to be made preparing reports, commentaries and financial statements
Skills
I have learn a range of technical skills relating to audit. I have bolstered my numerical and analytical skills. Dealing with complex clients have improved my problem solving talent. Audit is also good for those who appreciate accounting and financial data.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a lot of responsibilities and trust. I had to deal with sensitive information from clients and help assess important financial data. I could review companies monetary and legal information that the general public won't have access to.
Support & Guidance
I received much needed support and guidance from my audit team.
Culture
People within BDO are kind, open minded, hard-working and patient. I felt listened to and cared for.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship as it provided full insight into audit and the corporate world as well. Without this experience, I won't know what my career objectives are.
