The Role
Real responsibility from the start, always occupied with meaningful work and great to see the whole process from beginning to end of seeing students placed and making money at the same time
Have enjoyed being part of a close knit team of consultants and resourcers as well as directors. Have been fortunate enough to be voted star of the month on two occassions and am thanked regularly for the work I am doing to aid people. Also benefit from outings for meeting targets and monthly drinks as a company
Directors, consultants and fellow resourcers alike are always available to give support and guidance and happy to do so. Have received thorough training in sales techniques, databases and phone etiquette as well as
Always very busy with a variety of different tasks, which is good because I love to be constantly on the go. The work has always been interesting and enabled me to constantly be learning something new.
I was given real responsibility from the start. For example: I am always managing my own work load, have run a consultants work for 2 weeks whilst she was away including client liaision, taking on new work, candidate sourcing and submittal, interview arrangement and making offers and run small teams of people at fresher and career fairs.
The skills and training I have received will help me academically, professionally and personally. I am a more confident person in myself which will positively effect my degree and future work. I have learnt a lot about business as a whole, which will aid me with my business degree and the training and skills I now have will help me pursue a future career that I now know will interest me and suit me
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was always dynamic and busy. As a sales floor there was a real buzz about the office with people constantly on the phones, discussing candidates, clients and roles and also a fair bit of banter alongside it!
What massively interested me about this placement was it's flexibility. I have worked on a rotational basis within recruitment and marketing and some elements of timescales have changed in accordance to demand for my help. Overall the placement has been very well organised
The company has invested their time and money in my personal training and development. I have had regular meetings with directors and managers to ensure I myself am happy and understand and are comfortable with the work I am completing. I have benefitted from external training as well as internal and have been given permission to use their resources for my dissertation in the future.

I have been fortunate enough to extend my contract with them over the summer period, working within each area I have had experience in as well as a new one. I have also been in discussion about getting in touch after I have completed university.
The Culture
There are no other fellow placement students. But I have enjoyed a great social scene with other colleagues outside of work including meals, nights out and pub trips.
I have found it more expensive than at University, but in terms of overall expense my rent is very affordable and socialising is not overly expensive as the area to has a University.
Loads to do here, spoilt for choice, definitely caters for a multitude of tastes, something for everyone.
I have gotten involved in a lot of activities outside of work, more so than I did at university, some with others from the office and some individually
