Overview
Engaged in client work on a variety of public sector clients. These are predominantly NHS trusts and Local government councils. Assited with testing procedures as part of the audit process.
Skills
Learnt alot of new skills on excel, lookup forumlae, nested formulae etc. Worked in a variety of teams of varying size, so improved my communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
For the first two weeks a project was assigned to myself and the other intern within my team. This was completed soley by ourselves and therefore represented a large responsibility. Apart from this the nature of the work required constant checking by more experiened staff and therefore involved less responsibilty, however we were given the chance to complete tasks on our own.
Support & Guidance
Intial training was conducted at an external venue, this was very helpful. Beyond this more senior staff members were always on hand to answer questions.
Culture
The company culture was brilliant. Hard working but relaxed and inculsive.
Your Impressions
The experience was invauable looking forward into the future.
Yes
The culture is great. If you can find a good department to work in then it is definitely a good place to work.
