Overview
Shadowing meetings and other people's work. Assisting on client work - this includes reserving and Solvency II.
Skills
Developed Excel skills and understanding of the insurance market.
Responsibilities
I was given some client work to do when it was available.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of support. I watched training modules that grads in the team had made. The working environment was somewhere I felt comfortable asking for any support or guidance I needed.
Culture
It was very friendly and welcoming. A lot young members in the team a few years older than me so it was good to have people going through similar experiences. It was also a good learning environment because of the young team.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot! I learnt lots and the team were all very friendly.
Yes
Make sure you go through your excel skills before starting (pivot tables, power query, vlookups) because it will make the work more straightforward.
