Overview
My role is to support regular tasks in the team in order to deliver client based work. This requires use of coding with SAS. I have the opportunity to write bespoke code and also work with other languages such as VBA.
Skills
Yes I have picked up so much knowledge. This includes coding knowledge and software knowledge as I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of applications such as Tableau. I have also developed a lot of skills that will be useful in the workplace and at university such as discipline and organisation.
Responsibilities
Yes I was given a lot of responsibility. For example, I was asked to develop one of our existing products and my work is now used by clients on a weekly basis.
Support & Guidance
I had regular meetings with my manager to support me in prioritising my work and to help me meet deadlines. I also had a mentor from my team to help me on a day to day basis.
Culture
The company organise many events to help us interact with our wider team e.g. quarterly social events such as bowling, pool tournament etc. We also have quarterly team meals.

I have loved my placement at Experian.
Yes
Just be yourself and be honest. Before starting here I had never coded before, but I was open about this in my interview so that when I started the right support was in place for me to learn this skill.
