Overview
Working in the office each day shadowing different members in my assigned team and networking throughout the bank
Skills
Networking, professionalism, finance knowledge terminology. Excel and powerpoint skills
Responsibilities
Quite a lot of responsibility as had direct exposure to clients on client calls and meetings. Doing research tasks that would help shape future progress
Support & Guidance
We had weekly sessions with senior speakers which was a casual environment to learn from senior leaders and ask questions. We had educational session too weekly on specific finance functions. Had HR drop-in sessions
Culture
Everyone, regardless of hierarchy willing to have conversation or catch up. We were exposed to all the diversity initiatives and we had a CSR day.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it to a significant extent. Surprisingly everyone was so open and willing to chat regardless of not coming from a finance background. Were considered a part of the team and introduced to clients etc.
