Overview
Meeting up with manager/team members to update on work from previous day. Setting up meetings with colleagues to discuss project work ie. understand something / gain new information / data. Working on project/ projects

Responsibilities
Every intern is given a project/ multiple small projects over the 10 weeks. These projects have meaningful impacts in terms of making Expedia the leaders in the industry. We had great exposure to not only our own divisions but also all others that make up Expedia Group. Every intern has the opportunity to connect and expand their network within Expedia and learn as much as they can!
Support & Guidance
Regular 1:1 meetings with manager to discuss project work and other concerns you have.. Similarly a weekly 1:1 meetings with your buddy. This provides all interns with guidance to any difficulties they face. Outside of these meetings you can easily contact them by pinging them on slack/mail.
Culture
One of the things that made this internship stand out is the lively atmosphere at Expedia. There weekly/ bi-weekly networking and social events for you to meet people a ton of new people. The interns have frequent social events ranging from drinks/snacks to an afternoon out at mini golf! Also, there are multiple kitchens around the office that offer amazing free snacks.
Your Impressions
Great environment for an intern. Especially as you are with a cohort of 60 other interns, you are able to make new friends and learn from them as well. The internship went beyond my expectations in terms of how lively and inclusive the culture. I definitely recommend applying for an internship at Expedia.
