The Role
At first, my own preconceptions affected how i thought of colleagues; However, quickly I got over them and have found it easy to feel like a 'member of the team' rather than a random outsider that others must put up with.
Despite my manager being incredibly busy, he has always found time to help me when I need it.
I've always had a substantial amount of work to be getting on with.
It feels (at least to me) that I have just as much responsibility as full time employees on the team.
I received the opportunity to work with the brightest minds I've ever met, that share similar interests and are easy to talk to. I was given guidance, advice and the opportunity to develop both as a person and a professional.
The Company
The office was not exactly lively, but often people will just stop and have a conversation, to which other people are invariably drawn. The atmosphere encourages this, and so popping over to other people to ask for help didn't feel like a walk of shame.
As mentioned in another comment, I felt as thought I was treated just like a full time employee, despite some small difference in administration (such as, part time employees are not subject to a full performance appraisal). Through the initial induction, I met several other new starters like myself, and they have been very good friends to this day.
I've received comprehensive training, and it felt as though I was invested in as much as any other given employee.

This is difficult to answer; I'd absolutely love the chance to work at ARM after I finish my degree, but I really do not know whether I'd be accepted. Some people I've talked to appear to think I would be, but I believe that is more their overestimation of my abilities.
The Culture
As mentioned earlier, I met several people in similar positions through the initial induction; The team that I worked in also gets together fairly often for pub lunches, and recently went for a gokarting Grand Prix.
I've found Cambridge to be an expensive location, living fairly close to the city center. Socialising however, was easy enough, there are several pubs and venues that are not too much more expensive than other locations.
Cambridge is pretty quiet, but there were several very good sets played at 'Junction'.
There are lots of ad hoc meetings for various things, including playing football, cycling, videogames, and more; They are easy to join, and the people running them are all very easy to talk to.
