Skills
Yes - learnt many new skills, and heavily improved my excel skills.
Responsibilities
Yes. Some work I did I had complete control over and could take in my own direction. I also had to step up sometimes when analysts were away, and work directly with senior team members.
Support & Guidance
A lot. All A&A's were extremely helpful, would always take the time to sit down with me and help me understand concepts, or how to perform a task. This was very valuable as I was then able to perform much better on a range of projects once I knew how to do tasks correctly.
Culture
Amazing. Everyone works well together, wants to make sure you are happy and learning the best you can, and will always help explain things. Many company activities to get involved in too, and lots of social events so everyone was good friends.
Your Impressions
Best internship I have ever had (and I have had a lot). I could not recommend it more, and have learnt an incredible amount.
Yes
Try to understand excel shortcuts and PPT skills before arriving, as it will save you so much time. Talk to as many people as you can, and network so that every team knows your name.
