Overview
Back-end software development, using Java. Daily 15-30 catch-up with the team in the morning, then programming most of the day. Attend various meetings, talk with my manager and others if I need help
Skills
Yes, you learn a lot about the SDLC process when working for a large company, with monolith codebases.
Responsibilities
Yes, had a lot of permissions to do things myself, and was encouraged to do so. Project was mostly independent and so I had a lot of freedom on how to do it and figure out the best way, but was also intertwined with other systems.
Support & Guidance
A lot, my manager and buddy were always available to answer any questions if I needed help. I was invited to all meetings to see how things were done and to know more about the work others are doing.
Culture
Great, very outgoing, kind and social people
Your Impressions
Amazing experience, would definitely do it again.
Yes
Be very social and outgoing, they care a lot about how you fit into the team and not just your technical knowledge - although it has to be good too :)
