Overview
The vacation schemers was very well organised. We were involved in a range of activities such as insights into different fields of law such as life sciences and IP law. We were also tasked with an innovation challenge where we to work as a group to pitch our ideas to a panel. Supervisors also gave us work to do in between these sessions.
Skills
Overall, the experience was very valuable and I was able to develop different of skills. The main skill i developed was my communication skills through the group project where we interviewed A&O employees and worked as a group to deliver a presentation.
Business Insight
We had a "Training Contract Overview & SQE session", a session explaining the role Fuse plays in the business and we had the opportunity to meet the diversity networks.
Culture
Everyone at A&O was very welcoming and happy to answer all of our questions. We were each given a trainee buddy which was very helpful to learn more about the company culture.
Your Impressions
I would highly recommend applying to the winter vacation scheme. It was an invaluable experience. The HR and litigation team were very friendly and surpassed all my expectations.
Yes
I would recommend having a look at all the tips and tricks given by the graduate recruitment team on their instagram page. Make sure you also know about all things M&A during the assessment center and to be yourself.
