Overview
The two-day programme involved workshops and talks on a range of practice areas in A&O, a career in law as well as a social event with mini golf on the first night! We gained insight into becoming a lawyer, as well as various practice areas in the firm such as banking and litigation. We were also assigned a trainee buddy to help us with understanding commercial law and the legal career.
Skills
Developed skills in communication, interpersonal skills, and saw a definite increase in my knowledge of commercial law
Business Insight
It was very engaging, the workshops were interactive and made sure to engage all participants. There was also a great social element to the programme which encouraged peer-to-peer learning
Culture
It seemed very friendly and open. I particularly enjoyed learning about the DEI work and meeting with the various diversity groups to learn about how employees are supported and encouraged in the firm

I really enjoyed the insight, it was a fantastic experience

Take your time with your application and don’t be afraid to take a minute to think through your answer at the interview. They seem to really value people who are good at collaboration and open to learning from others
