Overview
- Dealing with multiple client requests, providing confirmation prices and servicing product amendment needs. - Conducting research into Key Account Purchase clients, extracting data from annual reports. - Facilitating the trade of big corporations in commodities such as Oil and Soy.
Skills
Yes I have learnt many new skills including Excel, multi-tasking, working in a fast paced role, speaking confidently to senior people.
Responsibilities
Yes I was in a client focused role and given exposure.
Support & Guidance
I received a good amount of support but as I went along the internship I noticed there was more support I could have received especially as someone who was looking to stay within the company and start my career.
Culture
Culture is good but there is a significant lack of young talent which does make the social aspect of work not as appealing and definitely needs to be improved. The bank claims they are focusing on acquiring young and diverse talent but this is not apparent. However there is are good networking opportunities and most people I have met and friendly and want to help you learn.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it and I am grateful for this opportunity. I would like to stay at Wells Fargo to begin my career but also to improve some hinderances that I faced. The company does however lack organization.
Yes
Find out what things should and shouldn't run in a workplace and how you should be treated. I wasn't aware of certain things that shouldn't be accepted and so I thought this was the norm but it wasn't. There were some things I should have raised as unfair.
