Overview
The work environment was welcoming and I immediately established connections within the company. My daily tasks consisted of uploading Final Stage Interview documentation on Eploy and Jobtrain, as well as online test results on the tracking systems. I was assigned to a RDP (recruitment development program) project where I designed power points and word files for the introduction and training throughout the program. I supported my colleagues through upskilling sessions and I was assigned to follow the process of the FSI structure and give my opinion on marking. During meetings I was expected to keep notes and provide them if needed. I was tasked with updating figures on the recruitment board as well as keeping in contact with product owners and the development of their stream course structure. I assisting the recruitment team with further administrative tasks throughout the weeks.
Skills
I have developed my organisational and time-management skills. I was introduced to a different side of technology through the corporate environment, where I learnt about different streams. My understanding of software, programs, and platforms have also been improved. By the end of the internship I was able to confidently use Jobtrain, Eploy, Excel, SharePoint, Indeed. My aim for this internship was to create a relationship with the company, network, have a better understanding of technology and develop pro skills and they have been achieved.
Responsibilities
Yes. I worked on the new ATS Auditing candidate records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Outstanding documentations were in need of urgent managing before September.
Support & Guidance
I received support throughout the whole internship. Any queries I had were answered in a timely manner that helped me develop further.
Culture
Company culture was inclusive and supportive. There were different events surrounding LGBTQ+, women, ethnicity, sport, celebrations, etc. The team was there to push you one step further as when you grow the teams grows with you. Very welcoming from the start to finish.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the internship. My job expectations have been met as I was given all the responsibilities listed. I created valuable connections within the company and with the company as a whole. I attended social events with colleagues. I developed an understanding of corporate environment which has pushed me to consider a career in business possibly within this company. One thing I would have enjoyed doing would have been external events for example university fairs as it was part of recruitment for the graduate program, however it was not a part of my job description. It would have been good to see how the company works with stakeholders up close. Overall everything was amazing.
