Overview
My day to day role varies depending on what project or tasks I'm focusing on. It involves being up to date with learning content on the GSK learning platform. It may also involve tasks related to any project I'm involved with to ensure successful completion. I am involved in various meetings to ensure I grasped an understanding of current projects.
Skills
I have developed my communication skills, having met various members within GSK working in different sectors. I am able to communicate effectively and develop questions to gain understanding in their role within GSK, to enhance my knowledge on how sectors are linked. My team working skills have improved as I was working with various members of the team to complete projects.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given responsibility during my internship. I was assigned with projects and tasks. One of the main projects I was given responsibility for, was creating content regarding treatable traits relating to asthma to ensure engagement. Another task I was responsible for was analysing the learning platform used by GSK to suggest improvements on how the use of this site could be enhanced.
Support & Guidance
I was provided a lot of support and guidance during this internship. My line managers were always available to have a one to one chat to catch-up and discuss progress on any projects. The team members within global medical affairs were also very supportive and provided guidance during meetings where I was unfamiliar with any content or data.
Culture
The company culture and general atmosphere is very positive. It is a diverse team and company. The members of GSK always look to support each other and are quick to provide help to any team member.
Your Impressions
I have immensely enjoyed my internship and my time at GSK. I have definitely learnt a lot regarding the structure and sectors within GSK but also the content involved in asthma specifically. I have gained a deeper understanding into the importance of global medical affairs and how important this sector is to patients health.
Yes
I would definitely recommend applying to GSK. It has been a great learning experience for me. I would advice others to themselves and be true to who you are when completing the world of GSK quiz. I would also recommend researching into the company and understanding the goals and the values that it abides by.
