Overview
Investment banking analyst - aid in the production of client facing materials using Powerpoint and Excel. Attend internal meetings for specific deals. Read through broker reports and extract important information to be inputted into financial models for cashflow forecasting.
Skills
Improved my presentation, communication and teamwork skills. I learnt basic financial modelling skills on Excel.
Responsibilities
Yes i was as I was involved in the preparation of client pitchbooks. On top of that I spoke in meetings and took minutes for those meetings.
Support & Guidance
Everyone in every team I worked in were very supportive and attentive to my questions. There were very happy to explain whenever I didn't understand anything.
Culture
Flat culture- allowing me to network with MDs and Heads of teams across the bank, which I imagine is not as encouraged at other banks. No one was difficult to speak to.
Your Impressions
I got on very well with the people in my team during the internship - everyone was always cordial and so it meant for a very pleasurable experience that fostered my learning and development.
