Overview
Software developer in an agile team. This would typically involve a standup with the rest of the team in the morning, then work on writing code, writing up docs, investigating things, attending meetings, etc.
Skills
Yes, I've learnt new technologies, developped my understanding of how web development works, learned about new web frameworks
Responsibilities
That depends on how you define it. Nothing I was doing as production code, for obvious reason, however my project was entirely my own and so I was given a lot of agency and responsibility in terms of the project itself
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance were very readily available. It was standard practice to do pair work / mob sessions on team calls whenever needed, and so it felt very easy to ask to arrange a meeting to just have a quick chat with colleagues if I was stuck on something
Culture
Very friendly, and they treat you like an adult and like any other worker there, while understanding that you might not know as much as a more experienced worker
Your Impressions
I didn't _enjoy_ it as much as one can enjoy a 9-to-5 job. Which is to say it was interesting, my team were lovely, but at the end of the day it's still very tiring to work 9 to 5, 5 days of the week
Yes
