Overview
The role is essentially like a typical Software engineering job. We had the option to choose between 3 projects at the start of the internship and then we would work on one of them for the 2 months of the internship. You would work with any other interns that are also assigned to your project, along with a manager and one or more other team members.
Skills
Learnt lots of new technologies. Also developed my public speaking and ability to network as there were lots of social events.
Responsibilities
In terms of the project we were assigned, a lot of responsibility, because we started the project from scratch and we (interns) were the main contributors for the project so the project was heavily reliant on whether we did the tasks we were given or not.
Support & Guidance
We had lots of support available. People on the team were there to assist with technical issues, and our manager and internship program manager were also there to help out with other issues we might have.
Culture
Excellent culture. Everyone is very friendly, welcoming and casual. Even people in senior management. You will not feel like you are talking to someone so senior when you find out how casual and friendly they are.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it a lot. The work given was interesting and meaningful, team members were great to work with, and the culture here made it a very enjoyable place to work.
