Overview
Intern in Brands Finance which involves pulling and manipulating raw data (from data cubes such as Godzilla, to analyse trends in loyalty finance. Also involves using various tools to predict profitability of certain engagement levers designed to increase customer engagement.
Skills
Yes - become more proficient in Excel, Powerpoint and various data cubes such as Tableau/ Godzilla. Also developed some beginner skills in SQL.
Responsibilities
An appropriate amount - was guided in first few weeks to pick up hard/soft skills then as my skills progressed was allowed to work on individual projects furthering these skills more independently.
Support & Guidance
A lot - more than expected. During first few weeks, daily connects with manager and navigator to check progress and also how I was settling in, then as the weeks went on the frequency of these connects declined as I settled in and became more focused on my projects and individual work.
Culture
Very friendly and welcoming - also frequent opportunities to network

I enjoyed internship and culture in the office, while also learning a lot along the way.
Yes
Come in with a hard work ethic but also social mindset. Great place to network and learn more about not only travel industry but tech industry too!
