Overview
An introduction to actuarial pensions. Typical daily tasks involve calculations in respect of individual pension scheme members’ benefits and working with models/ proformas. The day to day activities can vary quite heavily though.
Skills
I have learnt a plethora of specific job related skills such as doing pension calculations and modelling. I have also developed on my soft skills and how to act in a professional environment.
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility over every single piece of work I had done until it was passed off to someone.
Support & Guidance
I received quite a lot of support. I felt that whenever I was stuck there would be someone to help me out.
Culture
The company culture and general atmosphere was great. I did not meet a single person who was unwilling to help me out.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship to a good extent and thought it gave me an excellent inside into Aon and the actuarial pensions as a career.
