Overview
Role was varied by team. Working with HR Business Partner, I assisted with new hire approvals from senior management, contracts and analysis of headcount and attrition rates. Working in DE&I team, I worked on diversity data comparisons with other banks and analysis on self-identification rates. In recruitment, I assisted with events, creating nametags and registrations rosters.
Skills
I have built on my networking and communication skills. I have improved in my project prioritisation and organisational skills. I have enjoyed working in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
I received responsibility on tasks early on in the internship which gave me exposure and insight into the various tasks to be completed.
Support & Guidance
I had a supportive line manager and a great buddy. I felt comfortable talking to all members of the team to talk through any concerns and questions.
Culture
The culture is a flat structure. Everyone I met was nice and welcoming, they were always willing to help and spend time talking about their role.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed working in the HR team. I got an insight into the fundamental tasks in HR and although I will not be pursuing a career in HR currently, I feel supported in my future endeavours.
Yes
