Overview
Formatting PowerPoint, taking meeting notes, creating company profiles, financial analysis
Skills
Yes
Responsibilities
Yes going on client calls etc. and more responsibility on decks as more people away on holiday so have to cover for them during the summer
Support & Guidance
lots from the teams I was in
Culture
Very flat working directly with VPs sometimes, teams generally do something social together at least once a week but can still be quite intense and eat lunch at the desk etc during busier times but people are very friendly in general
Your Impressions
Enjoyed it a lot, think more applicable training would have been better and also the intern project was a big drain on everyone’s time especially as the outcome could not be used for anything useful for Jefferies but the actual work was good and met some really cool people
Yes
Understand why you are applying and speak to people at the firm to hear more about the culture and opportunities it can offer you compared to bulge bracket banks
