Overview
Reviewing what was done the day before. Completing tasks assigned to me. Setting up coffee meetings to network with people in roles or divisions I'm interested in.
Skills
Yes- improved my excel and PowerPoint skills. Also, got some exposure to Financial Models.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was. The tasks I had to do contributed to client meetings and information used internally.
Support & Guidance
I received some support mostly from my buddy who is an Analyst and also from associates when they had time. However, I would have appreciated more guidance especially before a task was given so I clearly knew the expectations and way the person who assigned the task wants it to be done. This would limit mistakes made, expectations not being met or me having to make lots of changes that could have been avoided if more oversight/ support/guidance were given.
Culture
The company and team culture was good. It was a pleasant surprise, especially being in IB.
Your Impressions
It was a good experience, I got a taste of what IB is like and I'm happy I got the opportunity. Overall, I enjoyed it.
