Overview
I would arrive at work and begin working on my project. My experience had me either developing my grasshopper script to make it accurate and clearer for visualisation or use in robot, or I would use robot ro design and check the forces and moments across members in my structure, and design accordingly conforming to the istructe manual.
Skills
Yes. I've become informed of computational engineering, but more so became better at using calculatis, robot, rhino, grasshopper, and tedds. I've also greatly developed my design skills according to the istructe manual.
Responsibilities
Yes. I am so grateful that my line manager trusted me to actually model and design the structure beyond its initial stage. I had much to do, and much has been gained.
Support & Guidance
A tonne. My line manager answered every question I always had. Every other member in the office was polite and helpful. I went to multiple people for different questions, and they all were happy to help. Even the higher position owners were like everyone else.
Culture
Very nice, sociable, and polite. Everyone worked hard, and knew how to reward themselves after.
Your Impressions
Fully. Many socials are made for young engineers to. There are alot of social events within the company, planned for everyone, and the partners pool in their own money every year for events for young engineers to be funded.
Yes
For a summer placement, you aren't going to know many things for the role no matter how much you think you do. What you learn it surmount to what you know. Ghus my recommendation is to not spend alot of time and energy proving if you're smart by how much, but instead to show the dedication you should have to learning and developing whatever skills necessary to get the job done.
