Overview
Identify the perfect candidates for a job role that I was working with. Generate warm leads with candidates and sell the role to these individuals, once I have generated the interest I would express this interest to the client and try arrange an interview. After preparing the candidate for the interview I would hopefully close the deal if they received an offer and begin the onboarding process for their start date.
Skills
I have learnt a plethora of skills, these involve, sales, team work, delegation, telephony skills. I have also been able to develop my presenting skills when presenting candidates to clients. Developing my adaptability has also been useful because I am now able to adapt my conversation depending on whom I am speaking to, either clients candidates or management.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility. This placement did not feel like this, I was carrying out the same work as a full time permanent consultant from very early on. This is a testament to the training provided and the support in place.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of guidance from my manager, the training, and the more experienced individuals around me. They were always open to answering any questions I may have had.
Culture
It was very positive. This was due to the success of my team and the incentives that were put in place. Whether that be the commission or team benefits that rewarded the team hitting their budget.
Your Impressions
I wholly enjoyed my placement year. It was due to role itself, the support from the managers and also the other placement students that I was working alongside. This meant I was not the only employee learning the skills at once.
Yes
I would recommend you be yourself throughout the interview process and ensure you get your personality across in ever stage of the process. The personality can be more important in this role than your previous academic or work experiences
