Overview
The insight week consists of a mix of lectures, speeches, skill sessions and various networking opportunities that educates and provides an insight into NatWest's culture and what they work on and proud of.
Skills
New skills such as networking and presentation are developed through the various skill sessions, as well as our own team projects which also enhanced my leadership and people skills.
Business Insight
NatWest is very clear in letting us know about the various roles in the bank, and also allowed us to talk with graduates and business leaders, which is a very helpful and personal way to discover about various roles available.
Culture
Super friendly. We will discuss everything that happened last night in the morning, and also celebrate one of the birthdays. Everyone is super approachable, authentic in their work style and the atmosphere makes me feel that I will be more than happy to join them
Your Impressions
To be frank, I did not expect myself to enjoy this much about this insight week based on my previous experiences with other firms. However NatWest makes it really special as the event organisers will try their best to make us feel comfortable and interact with one another, the people part of the insight is the best to me.
Yes
Be genuine, be yourself. Reflect upon your experience before, and you do not have to be in a finance/econ degree to join them. You will know if here is meant for you if you are chosen, and they are very good at choosing ones that can "vibe" well with the firm. So just go for it, be wild, be true, and be yourself.
