Overview
There were skill-building sessions including confidence, presentation and networking. I gained an insight into the financing solutions division and was presented with a case study. I worked in a team of 4 to create and deliver a presentation. I gained a wholistic insight into the bank's culture and values as well as internship and graduate programmes.
Skills
Yes; I developed my teamwork, presentation and networking skills. I also learnt about financing solutions and what this division involves.
Business Insight
Very insightful; I learnt a lot about the recruitment process for the summer internship as well as the graduate programmes, and as a result I am eager to join the bank as an intern next summer and perhaps even beyond.
Culture
Very inclusive and welcoming; NatWest seems to lead the way in diversity. The graduates and other staff members who spoke to us all seem genuinely happy to be working at Natwest which reflects a positive work culture and atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it as there was a good balance of networking, general and division-specific skills, and interactive challenges. I also really enjoyed meeting all my peers also taking part and look forward to hopefully working with them again next summer.
Yes
Try to be genuine and show an interest in NatWest specifically; explain why it stands out from other banks. They have such a wonderful culture so it's worth learning about that so you can really articulate why you want to work there.
