Overview
My role involved creating a new app inside of G-Research. My work was hybrid, 10 days of Work from Home per month. I worked in a team with 6 members, and we had daily standups as well as frequent code demos and catchups. I worked from 9am to 5:30pm.
Skills
I worked on many new technologies and with dotnet (c# and asp.net core) and greatly improved my teamworking and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
I was given the responsibility of creating a product for internal use which would continue to be used after I had left the role
Support & Guidance
I had daily catchups with my team and weekly meetings with my mentor, my manager and a intern manager, as well as going to several intern training events such as presentation skills and speaking up/being heard.
Culture
Very laid back, as long as the work was done everyone was happy. Lax clothing requirements (wear what you want), lots of benefits, friendly coworkers
