    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • Over the two-week scheme I sat in two seats - Corporate and Competitions. In each seat I undertook various tasks, supporting projects that the team was involved with e.g. research, preparing documents, presenting to the department on key issues and taking notes on calls.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

    • Everyone at Dentons was keen to explain how the business works and the significance of their work. Associates and trainees were brilliant in sharing an honest insight into their day and the challenges they face as they develop their skills whilst taking on increasing responsibility. Completing two seats over the scheme provided a great insight as to the various projects the firm deals with - which I furthered by meeting with other trainees and associates from different departments too.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I couldn't have enjoyed the scheme more! It was a brilliant fortnight which answered all my questions. I would recommend this experience to everyone who is interested in corporate and commercial law.

    • The initial application form is important so really focus on conveying all your skills on it. Preparation is extremely important for the later stages e.g. interview but the interviewers are also brilliant wanting you to shine and showcase all your abilities.
