Overview
I spent the summer developing a new Fusion360 Add-In from scratch to product. On a typical day, I would have a short meeting with my supervisor and teammate in the morning and work on the project for the rest of the day. If there is any important issues met in development, we would have extra meeting whenever everyone is available.
Skills
I practiced my coding skill, especially Add-In development using Fusion API with python. Also, it turns out geometry and math are both very useful in the work as well, depending on the project.
Responsibilities
Yes it feels very nice to be in charge of a self inclusive project and try to make it as good as I can.
Support & Guidance
There was a training on general company culture, coding and agile development at the start of the intern. After that, we can discuss with our problem with our supervisor or the scrum team we're. Whenever needed, other departments, such as the manufacture or product release side of the company would also come to help.
Culture
Good culture, very friendly and healthy with occasional social events at the start or the end of intern.
Your Impressions
Very nice experience, I enjoyed it quite a lot.
Yes
Not much required in terms of coding as long as you have a good understanding of the fundamental knowledges related to the software.
