Overview
Shadowing & technical teach-ins. Writing morning and afternoon Markets notes. Creating trade ideas and other presentations for my team. Undertaking trading simulations twice each week.
Skills
I’ve developed technical skills, presentation skills and confidence.
Responsibilities
I was not able to speak to clients for regulatory reasons, but my team still gave me lots of helpful tasks and I was able to sit down with traders and analyse their positions and risk.
Support & Guidance
There was always someone I could talk to whether it was a fellow intern, a team member, a programme lead, HR or mentors I had in the firm.
Culture
I had an amazing team and everyone I spoke to was so helpful and smart.
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved it - I liked my team, the work and the culture in the firm itself. The other summer interns have also become good friends of mine.
Yes
Make sure you have a great CV, great markets knowledge and try and bond with people and talk about other things in interviews.
