Overview
Assigned a Division to work in with a Mentor and a Line Manager. Day to day would be getting involved in tasks, looped into meetings, networking, catch-ups, working on projects, attending events and sessions.
Skills
Such a huge range of opportunities to take advantage of to learn a variety of skills - Technical Skills (such as learning Softwares, Programs, Applications etc) to Soft Skills (Communication skills, Presenting etc).
Responsibilities
Yes, it’s very much the case where you are treated as an employee. Responsibility is given very responsibly - so everything is very manageable as long as you stay on top of what you need to get done, keep a to-do list, and plan your day for tomorrow the night before!
Support & Guidance
So much support and guidance is available readily and offered to you - but you can also seek it and Employees (inc. International employees over zoom) across the firm/divisions are so happy to give up their time to have a conversation with you. So a lot of support!!
Culture
There’s a strong entrepreneurial spirit, like when problem solving - it’s taking initiative but also asking for help from the right people etc. They’ve been very keen on Diversity and Inclusion which is really nice aswell.
Your Impressions
Exceeded my expectations, met and worked with some lovely people. Very much enjoyed my internship
Yes
Stay open minded, there’s a wider perspective that you can learn of. Take advantage of the countless learning opportunities that come your way, get stuck in and involved. Remember to work hard but also there’s plenty to enjoy!
