Overview
Working on my individual coding project, while placed in a software engineering team
Skills
Coded in Python each day, provided training classes in C++, Python and javascript, as well as company specific architecture
Responsibilities
A fair amount, I had choice on what to work on each day and how to work on my project, but also had help when I needed it
Support & Guidance
Weekly half hour meetings with my mentor and team lead, plus frequent meetings with HR with career advice
Culture
Beautiful office, and generally not too stressful Seemed to be a divide between the engineers and the business interns
Your Impressions
To a large extent: there were lots of other interns and they put on lots of events to keep up entertained The work itself was fairly rewarding
Yes
Apply early, do an insight week in first year if you can which could help you get on Depending on the team, some have different work hours so maybe more stressful than others
