Overview
My role, for now, involves the development of an internal application which helps developers to create tools in order to make their work much easier. In the past, this application was written in angular and created using an older structure, and now my job is to move it to a new programming language, more exactly react, combined with micro-frontends and also typescript. For now I moved some pages using react and typescript and I think it fits me well.
Skills
For now I didn't really learnt new skills, besides some more advanced things using react. Maybe the structure that was presented to me, and that we are using on this application, is new for me and very interesting, but in general, I'm using skills that I already knew. I used to participate in some trainings too, not technical ones, and from there I acquired some general knowledge, team work things and personal development knowledge
Responsibilities
Not that much. I started to take some tasks that were in waiting for some time and with not that big of a priority, so the adaptation with the new environment won't be that heavy.
Support & Guidance
The team members were very friendly and helpful every time I had any questions. Ready to help me and explain in details whatever I had problems with.
Culture
Working remotely is a bit difficult to see the hole general atmosphere and culture, but overall the atmosphere is very friendly and full of helpful people, and the culture is focused on an easy and well-planned beginning so the future work of new employees is easier
Your Impressions
For now I am very pleased with how the work is evolving, and the involvement that people have shown
Yes
Adobe being a big company, doesn't mean you need to be scared of the challenges that you will get. The very friendly environment will for sure help you and make your work easier and enjoyable.
