Overview
My role as a Canddiate Consultant required me to find specific candidates for a variety of job roles in different fields. I would firstly write and post job adverts to gain attraction and then select suitable candidates for interview. All interviews would take place via phone and if the candidate was successful after the interview stage I would then set them up on the systems used and collect required documents.
Skills
Throughout my placement I have gained and developed a variety of skills such as team working and communication. These two skills in particular are used on a day to day basis when dealing with candidates and also work colleagues.
Responsibilities
I would say that I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement which made me feel like a valued member of the team even though I wasn’t a permanent member I would be given the same amount of responsibility as anyone else.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support & guidance was on offer during my placement. I would have weekly catch up meetings with my line manager to discuss targets for the week ahead, I would also discuss any issues or challenges I faced during this time.
Culture
The company culture at Randstad is very strong, lots of social events and weekly calls with the wider teams to create bonds. I would say that I have made a lot of friends for life during my 12 months which I am very grateful for

My 12 months at Randstad were very enjoyable and flew by! I always felt like a valued member of the team and was always rewarded for good work & results
Yes
My advice would be to join Randstad with an open mind and be open to any new challenges that the business may throw at you as you will only develop more as a person!
