Overview
The role is fast paced and flexible meaning daily tasks often vary. My role has focused around creating and delivering assets across many consumer touchpoints (for both digital and more traditional areas of marketing), brand maintenance such as managing the brand budget and supporting brand, agency and retailer relationships.
Skills
The role allows for a large degree of autonomy, meaning the biggest skill I developed this year has been confidence. Confidence in both my understanding of the industry but also in my own marketing skills. The confidence gained throughout this year has increased my employability through greater understanding of organisational culture and commercial awareness.
Responsibilities
I was given a large amount of responsibility on my placement year. This allowed me to integrate with the team easily as I was given my own projects very soon into starting. For example, I delivered the first TikTok campaign for the brand
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my manager and wider team in placement year. Everyone was extremely accommodating and happy to take time out of their day to help you.
Culture
The company culture was great - really friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement year. I had some great experiences and really developed my employability skills in the process.
