Strategy Analyst Intern Review

The focus was on completing a project where I conducted analysis from the planning stage through to a final presentation, learning the necessary skills as I did so. I also had the opportunity to take part in my team's meetings, although this was not compulsory.

I learnt how to use SQL and Excel from nothing. I also improved my skills in powerpoint, and received professional development training to improve teamwork and communication. I learnt through the process how to manage work in a professional environment and how to meet the expectations of a good analyst in terms of planning, structuring and problem solving

Yes, the work I did wasn't exactly critical to the business but I was given an important and useful project which had potential to drive real-world value and the space to take ownership of it with my own approaches. On the whole the amount of guidance I received was about right

I got very confused and stressed about my project struggling to gain ground before the midpoint of my internship, but with help from my team everything started to make sense and I was able to take ownership of the project and really enjoyed it by the end. There were also a lot of nice social opportunities which made settling in easier. So besides a period of about 2 weeks I enjoyed it
