Overview
I supported the rest of the renewals team in gathering information on upcoming renewals and keeping an up to date spreadsheet on these. As well as this, we were involved in helping to reach out to the correct stakeholders so we could then begin conversations around renewing these contracts.
Skills
There has definitely been an improvement in my ability to lead negotiations as well as building rapport within a professional environment. The importance of having a good relationship within the company and with the customers proved crucial to a successful year.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was in charge of key documents required for the running of the team. As well as this, I was able to sit in and contribute with direct customer contact.
Support & Guidance
My direct team and manager was very supportive and always gave time for any queries I had throughout the year. I would have weekly 1-2-1s with my manager and our weekly team meeting provided a forum for us to voice any questions. As well as this I also had a total of 3 mentors throughout the year, each with different functions and offering me insights into their different fields of expertise.
Culture
The general culture was very positive and welcoming. Everyone was happy to help and give time for calls to help us as interns with any questions we had. Also, when in the office, everyone was very welcoming and it was very easy to approach new people and start conversations with them.
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my placement. The people, the culture and the opportunities I received, all made it very enjoyable. As a result of this, Adobe would be a company which I would love to return to.
Yes
Adobe has a strong culture and clearly recruits people who are team players. The ability to show this as well as a your true character are the two best things you can show in an interview.
