Overview
Virtual Internship spanned 4 days, and was hosted by staff at Lloyds Banking Group. Day-to-Day: Presentation by staff about a technology topic. e.g. cloud Activities related to presentation e.g. researching cloud service types Final day: hackathon based on learnings of previous days.
Skills
I learnt presentation skills. Everyday was concluded by a presentation which put together learnings of that day.
Business Insight
It was incredibly insightful, I learnt many things in this programme which I couldn't have by other means. A segment for speakers who work in the various technology departments was incorporated into the timetable every day of the programme.
Culture
It was very welcoming, the programme organisers put great effort into ensuring attendees learnt about them, the organisation and also their peers, it was a great atmosphere and staff were more than happy to answer questions.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the opportunity, it was one of the most fulfilling weeks in my life. I regularly put my learnings into practice and they have been hugely impactful in shaping my career goals.
Yes
The application process is incredibly simple, you don't even require a CV, so don't worry. There are many cohorts each year for the programme so there is lots of space available.
