Overview
Part of the risk and control team which focused on analysing key risk metrics through various reporting techniques. These would be reported to directors on a monthly basis.
Skills
Developed excellent communication and team work skills and massively improved my knowledge of advanced Excel.
Responsibilities
I felt like I was a full time employee as opposed to a placement student in a good sense as I had full control over my schedule and reports, support was always there if I needed it but I was encouraged to take on various tasks.
Support & Guidance
I had weekly one to ones and daily team calls and if I ever was really stuck on something, someone would jump on a call with me straight away.
Culture
The company culture felt very inclusive and development was always encouraged. I felt as though I had a lot of support and opportunities at my fingertips.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and would recommend the Company and programme to anyone.
Yes
Definitely go for it and before the interview try and get as much background on the company as possible, as well as trying to broaden your knowledge on current affairs to boost your commercial awareness as that will really help.
