Overview
The activity on a daily basis were mainly balance sheet analysis, excel modelling, research on competitors debt structure, ESG analysis and research on different topics related to clients
Skills
Hard skills: Modelling and excel skills Debt and cash flow analysis Understanding on the use of different programs Soft skills: Communication Relational and team work Time management
Responsibilities
At the start not many responsibilities were given due to the lack of knowledge of processes, but in a very short period you were responsible for your own work
Support & Guidance
Initially I was followed step by step, then I was able to work more on my own even if I could always ask for help if I could not find a solution to my problem. Everyone was very keen to help
Culture
The atmosphere and culture at Citi is great. Everyone is very welcoming and ready to help and give advice. Everyone from analysts to the highest position in the company hierarchy are very approachable. You can feel the values of the company everywhere, many events are organised both for networking and environmental/social/diversity topics
Your Impressions
I really liked my internship. The learning curve is extremely steep, you have to work hard, but you are always rewarded for your successes. The team was amazing and all the people in general
Yes
The most important thing at Citi is to be aligned with their culture. Be yourself and be sure that you are interested in what you are applying for, that is the most important thing
