Overview
My role consisted of preparing materials to use in front of clients (such as making graphs and PowerPoint slides). I was also tasked with providing market updates throughout the reporting season.
Skills
I have improved my Excel and PowerPoint skills, and have developed my ability to present materials and information to more senior members of the team.
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility, and the materials which I put together were indeed used in front of clients, which was very rewarding and made me feel as though my work was being valued and of use to the team.
Support & Guidance
There was a very strong support network in place, both within my team and provided by Citi's HR team.
Culture
There was a very good team culture. Of course, the hours in the finance/banking industry are long but I strongly felt as though people were aware of my wellbeing and were willing to help when I was struggling with the workload.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed it and have accepted a full-time offer for after university.
Yes
Be aware that the hours are long and it is difficult work, but if you are prepared to fully commit to the job then it will be very rewarding and you will gain a lot out of it!
