Overview
working with the finance team, looking at the budgeting, month end budget. where the money was being used and the invoices. engaging with other members from the technology division to create a mapping process for the team.
Skills
learned new IT skills on how to use new software such as Microsoft Visio. working together in a team as well as improving my communication skills. taking part in a community project has developed many skills.
Responsibilities
I was responsible of creating a pack for an introduction to the technology team. I had to communicate with managers to find out different aspects of their section and get it written down on a powerpoint so that it could be used to help new employees get grips with the division.
Support & Guidance
the team members and manager were very helpful. they provided feedback for every task I had to complete and helped me along the way or guided me to the right person to speak to for certain tasks. the manger always checked up on me to see how I was getting along with my tasks.
Culture
everyone was very friendly and worked well with each other. if anyone needed help someone would be there to help out. there were social events taking place at the end of some days and weeks too. it was a very good environment to be in
Your Impressions
I very much enjoyed my internship as I got to network with loads of other interns and employees at the FCA. I had also developed some skills and learned new ones along the way which can help me later on in my future career.
