Overview
I representing the firm and promote them on campus. This requires me to understand and communicate opportunities to students through creative ways, such as presentations, and social media. I reflect the collaborative culture of the firm by organizing events across campus and manage the social media pages of the firm.
Skills
New skills: running social media campaigns, video and picture editing. Existing skills: developed attention to detail, communication skills at events and within the organisation.
Responsibilities
Direct responsibility comes with the tasks that the firm sets for us to do specific things, which are at a reasonable period of time, enough to manage. I am also given a freehand to come up with our own ideas and carry out our own events, which is great as it allows me to get creative.
Support & Guidance
A lot! We have a dedicated person who is our direct contact, but still the whole recruitment team is willing to jump on and help. My ideas are always supported and the recruitment team is more than willing provide additional support. For example, I am currently organising a negotiation competition and one email was enough for the recruitment team to be willing to help with organising this.
Culture
Really open, and supportive. Not is the recruitment team that I work with like this, but also the lawyers I collaborate with.
Your Impressions
10/10! Not only do I get to work with amazing people and have the opportunity to be creative by doing things I love to do, but I also have the chance to discover more about how it is like to work at a firm I am interested in applying to.
Yes
Be yourself! HSF is really open to diversity and provides a community that everyone can belong to. By being yourself, you can grow a lot working with the firm.
