Overview
I realy enjoyed the role as I was gradually given more responsibility in a range of tasks: pitches, market research, screenings, valuation, admin.
Skills
Excel, FactSet, Research Databases, PowerPoint, Valuation, Financials
Responsibilities
Yes, if it was noticed that you handled tasks well and efficiently you were given more responsibility. I ended up doing pitches on my own.
Support & Guidance
A lot, there are 3 figures already established to support you: a buddy, a development officer, and a mentor. Additionally, all A&As were always approachable and willing to help.
Culture
Super good culture. I am aware this can vary by teams but in general the culture and environment was good. Everyone helped and rooted for each other.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot. Hours were long but the work itself was super interesting and the team was incredible so I was able to enjoy it a lot.
Yes
Personal and situational questions are important as they want you to fit in the culture. You should also prepare technically and actually be interested in the industry as hours will be long.
