    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • I do useful technical work and designing if structures for an ongoing project, as well as reviewing higher level reports and calculations. I help doing project management and framework communication because this is an interest of mine. They really allow you to work in what you are most keen on.

    • I have learnt so many things including 3 new softwares for modeling structures which I will use in the future. I have also improved my communication and organisation as gained experience working in a professional setting. I have also solidified and added to knowledge I have learnt at uni

    • I was given much more responsibility than expected. This is really helpful for when I graduate as I will not be as nervous.

    • I was given loads of help and guidance and everyone was always so happy to help me if I was struggling or confused. They were also really happy to leave me to it if I told them I was fine.

    • Really good and extremely friendly. There is also lots of socials for placements and treads so you can meet everyone and have a work/life balance
