Overview
We were assigned to a desk during 10 days and had a project for the desk. We could also work for other desks during our rotations. We also had trainings during the 10 weeks and many conferences and meetings with HR or employers.
Skills
For sure, I learned to organise tasks, multitask and pay attention to details. It was also interesting to the environment in a trading floor and see how people deal with risk and work under pressure.
Responsibilities
We were not given responsibilities as we could be given during an off-cycle. However, it allowed us to see the day-to-day tasks of a desk globally and we could network with many people.
Support & Guidance
I had a mentor who supported me during the whole summer internship. Also, we had meetings every week with HR which was really helpful, and some meetings with people working on the trading floor.
Culture
People were always willing to share their expertise and take their time to discuss about their job. Even if people were working under pressure, they were always kind to each other.
Your Impressions
I really liked my internship as I met many people on the trading floor and leaned how all desks work with each other. I am very glad to receive a full time offer as I really liked the environment of the bank.
Yes
Network with people who already work in the bank to know more about the culture of the bank and opportunities that could be given to new joiners.
