Overview
The internship comprises of 3 rotations across sales & trading. In each rotation you will shadow your team, assist in day to day tasks for the desk, and prepare a presentation on a larger topic.
Skills
Working in a fast paced environment, managing time and requirements from multiple teams. Training in multiple financial products was given.
Responsibilities
Yes, we were flexible in how we spent our time provided we got our work done. This means we could spend time away from desk for networking purposes and work on side projects from other teams. We were also given lots of interaction with senior management.
Support & Guidance
There was significant training for the interns, each intern is assigned a mentor and buddy (as well as manager), everyone was very friendly and would offer advice/feedback if asked.
Culture
Generally great company culture, everyone is very driven to make the company suceed, but not so aggresive that personal politics becomes a problem.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the fast pace of the office and the wide interaction we were given with so many teams and differing levels of experience.
Yes
Have demonstrable reasons why you want to work in this field (i.e. previous experience/investing track record/society affiliations).
