Overview
I spent the first part of my placement working on 2 agile software development teams gathering the requirements for a new IT system being developed by the company. I did this by working with my team and business representatives to understand the current process and how this was changing to become the new processes. The second part was working on a waterfall delivery team to help the current IT systems to keep going and looking after the "Business as usual" processes.

Responsibilities
I was given some responsibility, I looked after the document process and worked with the business to ensure this worked effectively. I was also asked to help organise social events for my team.
Support & Guidance
I felt incredibly supported on my placement. They were supportive enough and very encouraging. It meant that they also pushed me to see what I was capable of. The peers and mentors I had were amazing and are still good friends to this day.
Culture
It's a hard working environment but everyone wanted to have a bit of fun too. They were helpful but pushed you to develop. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Honestly feels like a big family that you're part of.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement. It showed me what I want to do for my career and different ways to live your life. It will be a year I will look back on with pride and happiness.
